Ukraine
Brave Action brings emotional and financial support to Ukrainians in their fight for sovereignty and freedom. Through Brave Action, you can give encouragement and life-sustaining aid to Ukrainian volunteers who are bravely saving their country.
Connect directly with individual volunteers as they deliver critical aid and supplies for defenders they know and civilians in need. Hear the personal stories of 'regular' Ukrainians and understand more deeply the real impact of this war.
Be part of the circle of friends and family raising money to support their survival and recovery.

Power in Painting
Do you think knowing ahead of time that a loved one is going to die in the next while helps you prepare? If they are sick and you follow the progression of their disease, are you more likely to come to peace with your ultimate loss? Of course, it all depends on the circumstances. Does the dynamic change if you know your loved one is purposely doing something that could be life-threatening: for example, using opioids, climbing Mount Everest, being a first responder, going to the front line in war? Is sudden death harder to deal with than progression over time? Life can be precarious in so many ways. How do we get ready for it to end?
Or maybe we can change our paradigm and shift our focus to what we can do each day to be at peace if and when the time comes that we lose someone dear.
But this is war!
Brutal, unfair, heart-wrenching, and frightening beyond words. Loss and loneliness when one's partner is killed is excruciating. Any or all preparation pales in the reality.

There are ways through. For example, the ALIVE: Our True Love Stories program brings the power of writing and painting into the hearts, minds, and souls of war widows. The dramatic results are life-giving for those who lost a loved one, and inspiration for us all. We can take brave action not only by supporting Ukrainians through the ALIVE initiative but also by integrating the power of mindfulness and painting in our own lives.

We help people helping people
Brave Action Ukraine is a non-profit organization made up of Americans and Ukrainians. We have a unique structure to support Ukraine and globally deepen understanding of the war and its impacts.
Every week we hold a fundraising campaign to boost the results of four active volunteer projects in Ukraine. We present the projects and the volunteers plus stories written by those personally affected by the war. Also showcased are works by Ukrainian artists, performers, writers, filmmakers, and photographers —giving you first-hand experience and insights.
BAU has a rigorous screening process for selecting volunteer projects to be part of our weekly campaigns. This includes meeting the volunteers in person. Also they must send in documentation of their own fundraising, activities, and results achieved so far.
The money you give is equally divided among the projects we are funding this week. This accelerates and expands the results they achieve. Being a supporter through Brave Action is important beyond the financial help. It sends much-appreciated encouragement to brave people who keep going day after day after day to victory and peace, sovereignty and freedom.
We welcome participation from everyone interested in supporting brave actions of Ukrainians for victory and rebuilding. To be a volunteer in Ukraine who we help fund, an experience writer who we publish on the site, or have a creative 'work' related to the war that we showcase, please contact us!
